15 Fact about snakes.

1.The decapitated head of a dead snake  can still bite, even hours after death. These  types of bites usually contain huge  amounts of venom. 2.What is considered the most  “dangerous” snake depends on both a  specific country’s health care and the  availability of antivenom following a bite.  Based on these criteria, the most  dangerous snake in the world is the saw- scaled viper, which bites and kills more  people each year than any other snake. 3.Snakes live on everywhere on Earth  except for Ireland, Iceland, New Zealand, and  the North and South Poles. 4.Of the approximately 725 species of  venomous snakes worldwide, 250 can kill a  human with one bite. 5.Snakes evolved from a four-legged  reptilian ancestor—most likely a small,  burrowing, land-bound lizard—about 100  million years ago. Some snakes, such as  pythons and boas, still have traces of back  legs. 6.The fe

Snake discovered with 2 eyes in one socket

Snake discovered in Mississippi with 2 eyes in one socket  Tyree Jimerson, who breeds reticulated pythons in Mississippi, knows. Sometimes they go wrong. Tyree Jimerson told Newsweek magazine he was tending to his most recent clutch of python eggs when he determined that the snakes inside were developed enough that he should start cutting the shells open. This practice is common in snake breeding; it ensures that the young make it out of the egg. But one, which his wife cut open, had a funny colour. The snake inside was twisting around, and the umbilical cord was around its neck. “When I pulled its head out,” Jimerson told Newsweek, “it just really freaked me out.” Even more surprisingly, the animal was alive at birth. But, Jimerson said, the animal was very weak and couldn’t hold its head up. He had heard of this unfortunate phenomenon before. “Someone else had already had one that was very similar, like a cyclops, and it just wouldn’t live," Jimerson sai

The truth of three-headed snake.

They say that rumours are just like a jar full of moths. Once they come out they are all over the place. It may be partially because rumours are surprising, funny, or shocking, and the teller wishes to entertain the listeners. There are some people who tend to believe in them without actually trying to find out the real truth behind it. People would easily believe in what they hear or in some case see and react so intently that they close their eyes and ears to the truth. A recent case of a rumour that spread across the city like wild-fire on a windy day makes for an interesting reading. The messages that come with this picture showing a three-headed snake on Indian roads claim that the picture is a real one, and it is the beautiful creation of nature. The story, however, is a hoax. The three-headed snake picture is not real, it is a manipulated one The original picture is only a single-headed snake found on the roadside somewhere in India, which some prankster might

The python holds the world's record for length of a snake, with the longest ever measured at 33 feet.

If you look at the records there is a lot of controversy over which snake holds the world's record for massive size. The dimensions that have earned the anaconda the title of king is its total body mass or its weight (the sheer physical bulk of it). The largest anaconda ever measured was almost 28 feet long with a girth of 44 inches. She wasn't weighed at the time she was caught, but scientists estimate that she must have weighed over 500 lbs. The other snake that competes with the anaconda is the Asiatic Reticulated Python (Python reticulatus). The python holds the world's record for length of a snake, with the longest ever measured at 33 feet. Even though the longest python is longer than the record-holding anaconda, the girth of the anaconda is far bigger. Anacondas in the jungles of South America can grow as big around as a grown man! Anacondas in the wild spend most of their time hanging out in rivers hunting for their food. They are solitary creatures that are so

Huge snake invades a house in Malaysia.

Snake invades a house in Malaysia   A video went viral on the internet which shows that Cobra invades a house in Malaysia. Facebook user Derrick YiFan, Neighbour, uploaded a video of the incident which took place on Jun 18, at around 4 pm. In the clip, the king cobra, estimated to be eight feet long, can be first seen moving among some boxes and shelves outside the house. It then slithered up the door and its metal grills. Towards the end of the video, the serpent apparently entered the house through an opening at the top of the door. As it was doing so, Derrick can be heard shouting 'it's going to' frantically in Mandarin. Fortunately, no one was home at that time. The snake was later caught by firefighters.
