The truth of three-headed snake.

They say that rumours are just like a jar full of moths. Once they come out they are all over the place. It may be partially because rumours are surprising, funny, or shocking, and the teller wishes to entertain the listeners. There are some people who tend to believe in them without actually trying to find out the real truth behind it. People would easily believe in what they hear or in some case see and react so intently that they close their eyes and ears to the truth.

A recent case of a rumour that spread across the city like wild-fire on a windy day makes for an interesting reading.

The messages that come with this picture showing a three-headed snake on Indian roads claim that the picture is a real one, and it is the beautiful creation of nature. The story, however, is a hoax. The three-headed snake picture is not real, it is a manipulated one

The original picture is only a single-headed snake found on the roadside somewhere in India, which some prankster might have photoshopped to make it look like a real three headed snake and started spreading it.
Certain animals, including snakes, are sometimes born with more than one head. This is a rare phenomenon called Polycephaly. But the picture in the message is definitely not a case of Polycephaly.

Terrifying 33ft anaconda discovered lurking in caves near dam construction site in Brazil

THE WORLD'S BIGGEST SNAKE? Terrifying 33ft anaconda discovered lurking in caves near dam construction site in Brazil Construction worker  in brazil found a 33ft snake   A giant snake measuring 33-feet long has been discovered on a building site in northern Brazil. The 400kg reptile was discovered by workers after they carried out a controlled explosion in the Cave of Altamira, in the northern state of Para. V ideo footage taken by one of the crew pans down the snake’s enormous body — which measures one metre in diameter. After making the frightening discovery, the workers chained the animal to a crane and later lifted it up to reveal its yellow spotted under belly - a move which was criticised in the comments when the clip was uploaded to YouTube. It's claimed the builders killed the snake rather than leave it in its natural habitat but this has not been confirmed.

The longest snake

Medusa, a reticulated python (Python reticulatus), and is owned by Full Moon Productions Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. When measured on 12 October 2011, she was found to be 7.67 m (25 ft 2 in) long. Medusa also holds the current 'Longest Snake - Living (captivity)' title. In Kansas City, Missouri, USA, those who look directly at Medusa may not do that – but they certainly come to a stone cold stop. That’s because the Medusa you find at the city’s Full Moon Productions isn’t some mythological figure of yore. It’s the longest snake ever in captivity.  Reticulated pythons primarily populate southeast Asia, Indonesia, and the Philippines and are also known as great swimmers. In 1912, a specimen shot in Sulawesi measured a jaw-dropping 10 m (32 ft 10 in). However, unlike Medusa, the unnamed animal was never kept alive in captivity. Medusa is currently housed at “The Edge of Hell Haunted House” in Kansas City. Her handlers say she can actual...
